Licensing

Software for Lichen and any supporting utilities is distributed under a dual licensing scheme that facilitates ubiquitous deployment and adaptation within any restricted or free/libre/open solution, on any device platform. Distribution under permissive Apache 2.0 (or more recent) licensing enables differentiation of features amongst competitors in the restricted software market sector. Parallel distribution of enhancements under unified GNU-GPL 3.0 (or more recent) licensing fosters the evolution of an advanced, feature-rich variant in the free/libre market sector, competing with solutions in the restricted software market sector. All Xalgorithms documentation is distributed under the CC-by 4.0 (or more recent) license.
